Queens Subway Attack: Police Search for Suspect Who Pushed 72-Year-Old Woman Down Stairs

JACKSON HEIGHTS, Queens (WABC) – Detectives are actively searching for a man accused of attacking a 72-year-old woman at the Roosevelt Avenue subway station in Queens.

Authorities say the victim was walking up the station’s staircase when the suspect kicked her from behind, causing her to fall down the steps. The elderly woman suffered bruises across her body and was transported to the hospital, where she remains in stable condition.

Following the unprovoked attack, the suspect fled the scene, boarding a northbound F train.
